    I would change some parts of the book because some of the things were saying the same thing. Also, the story Granny Torelli was saying was almost the same exact thing that happened in the story with Rosie and Bailey.Another thing is I liked the book a lot.I would recommend this book to anyone that fights with friends or family a lot. I think it would help them if they heard the stories about Rosie and Bailey.My favorite part of the book was at the end when everyone was having the pasta party. I liked it because no one was fighting or getting mad or calling other people names.I also liked it because everyone was having fun and meeting new friends and people that will be on the same street as them for a long time.

    Granny Torrelli Makes Soup was a great book, but not my favorite book. One reason that I did like the book was because of Granny Torrelli. She always knew what to say and what to do to help Rosie and Bailey get through the ups and downs of their friendship. I think she almost symbolized God in this story because God (and Jesus) always help all of us with are problems. One reason that I did not like this book was because sometimes they spoke in Spanish. This was very confusing. For instance on page 70, “Granny Torrelli hops out of her chair. Si, si, si! She says. Zuppa for Bailey and Carmelita!” One other important problem with the book was the title. The title is Granny Torrelli Makes Soup, but that only refers to the first half of the book. The second half she makes pasta. Maybe a better name for the book would be Cooking with Granny Torrelli. This is because in both parts of the book someone is cooking with Granny Torrelli.

Zuppa for Bailey and Carmelita!” My favorite part of the book is when Rosie asks Bailey if she can take his dog, Nero, on a walk. She was walking him and he started running so fast. They ended up stuck in the woods. Later that evening Bailey came to save them. One other important problem with the book was the title. The title only refers to the first half of the book. The first half she makes soup and the second half she makes pasta. Maybe a better name for the book would be “Cooking with Granny Torrelli.” This is because in both parts of the book someone is cooking with Granny Torrelli.

    My favorite part of the book is when Granny Torrelli was telling Bailey and Rosie about the Gattozzi baby. It was my favorite because it was very touching. I also liked it because Granny Torrelli was very kind to the baby and I know that I would do the same thing. One of my favorite quotes was “It is Sunday, and Granny Torrelli and I set the table in the dining room, twelve places. We use the good china, which used to be Granny Torelli’s. It has tiny red roses on it and little green vines. Carmelita brought zinnias from her garden: red, yellow, orange, purple, and they are in a vase on the table.” I liked this quote because it is very descriptive and well-written. Another quote I liked was “I am singing the songs of my mother and my grandmother, Granny Torrelli says, little lullabies I thought I’d forgotten. I sit there until my sister comes to get me again.

I sit on the steps and I sob like a little baby.” I think this quote was very special because it showed how much Granny Torrelli cared about the baby.
