I couldn’t stop reading the book Hoot by Carl Hiaasen because it had many cliffhangers that made wonder about what happens in the next chapter. For example “Lizzy, what’s the matter?” Mr. Eberhardt called out. “ Who’s was that on the phone?” “The emergency room!” Mrs. Eberhardt cried breathlessly. “Roy’s been hurt!”
I would recommend this book for my dad because he loves adventure books and he is full of courage just like Roy, Beatrice, and Mullet Fingers.
If I were to change the title of this book it would be called The Owls on the Corner of East Oriole Street. I gave the book this title because the book is about Roy and his new friends from Trace Middle School who do their best to save the owls and their dens from being bulldozed for a pancake house.
One line that caught my attention was Bleakly, Roy looked up to address the grownups. “ I don’t know the boy’s name, and I don’t know where he is,” he said. “I’m sorry, but that’s the truth.” Roy had given his ID to a boy he barely knew that was severely injured.
If I were to change something about the book I would change what happened to Mullet Fingers. In the book he originally goes to hide in the woods and no one ever sees him again. I would have Mrs. Leep find him at the lot on the corner of East Oriole and she brings him home, and they get along just fine.
My favorite part of Hoot was when everybody who cared for the owls came in a circle and started singing to protest and Mother Paula from the pancake house joined in and from that moment on I knew that Roy had done it, he had saved the owls and their homes.

    My Hoot Summery

The book Hoot, by Carl Hiaasen, is about three friends named Roy, Beatrice, and Mullet Fingers. They try to save the Brown Spotted Owls from being killed by the construction of the All American Mothers Pancake House. Roy, Beatrice, and Mullet Fingers worked very hard trying to save the owls. One of the other things they did was put poisonous snakes in the lot. The manger got really mad and from then on he watched the lot at night and also got guard dogs to watch over the lot with him. The three friends got angry, so they put baby crocodiles in the toilet. The boss of Mother Pancakes House got so mad that he came out himself to check things out and try to make the three kids stop. The boss called out the police to watch over the lot. The manger also decided to set up a town meeting to tell everyone that they are starting the construction on the Mother Pancake House. The three kids heard about it so they decided to go to the meeting. When they got their Mullet Fingers stayed in the bushes because if his mom is watching T.V. he doesn’t want his mom to see him, or else she will come down here and send Mullet Fingers back to military camp. So Beatrice and Roy stood in front of the bulldozer so the boss couldn’t hurt the owls. The mayor came to see what all the commotion was all about and Beatrice and Roy told him everything about the owls. After the long talk he finally believed them, so he told everyone that the construction was off. After he told everyone the news, he asked them how they did this all by them self, and they said they had help from someone else. So Mullet Fingers came out of the bushes, and while he was standing there, his mother saw him and came right away. When she saw Mullet Fingers she ran up to him and gave him a humongous hug. Then he yelled out that the owls were saved.

The book Hoot by Carl Hiaasen is an enjoyable and definitely an entertaining, favorable read. Hoot is about three young middle school friends: Roy, Beatrice, and Mullet Fingers, who tried their best to save the owls that live on the construction lot which is soon to become another Mother Paula’s All-American Pancake House. These children knew that if they didn’t step up and take charge to fight for what was right, the innocent owls would die. They did everything they had to, to make sure that the owls weren’t harmed. This exciting book left me on the edge of my chair from Chapter 1. From the mysterious running boy, to the vandalism at the Mother Paula’s lot, I could never predict what was coming next.
If I could recommend this book to anyone, it would be my sister, Rachel, because the movie Hoot is one of her favorite movies. She also loves animals, so I know that she would try to save the owls too, just like Roy, Beatrice, and Mullet Fingers. Rachel loves adventurous stories, such as this one.
If I could change the name of this book, I would title it What About the Owls? I selected this title because the majority of the characters are so focused on having a new pancake house that they are forgetting all about the owls and their homes.
The part of the book that I favored the most was when the police officer and the Mother Paula’s foreman arrested Dana Matherson, the school bully (who Roy had a bad experience with). Dana was actually tricked into going on the property to retrieve stacks of cigarettes, but the two men didn’t take any chances, (after all of the vandalism had occurred), and was quick to arrest him. It was nice to see the bad guy get in trouble for once!
If I could change one thing about the book I would change how Beatrice’s dad, a former professional basketball player, became nothing really, but a coach potato. He should have stayed active.
Throughout the book, there were clues about who was vandalizing the Mother Paul’s lot. For example, in Chapter 9 it says, “Curly recognized it (a snake) as a cottonmouth water moccasin.” As I recalled in previous chapters, Mullet Fingers had the same type of snakes. He probably put his snakes at the construction sight. In the end, I figured out that Mullet Fingers did the vandalism to slow down the construction, so he could save the owls. With help from Roy and Beatrice, they did just that.

The book Hoot by Carl Hiaasen is a fantastic book that will keep any reader entertained throughout. I couldn’t stop reading Hoot from the time I picked up the book. I absolutely loved it and I would definately read Hoot again. I also really enjoyed the writing style of Carl Hiaasen. One reason is because of the cliffhangers, for example: Spying a gap in the traffic, Roy ventured into the road. “Watch it!” Shouted a voice behind him. Roy jumped back on the curb and spun around. There was Beatrice Leep, sitting on his bicycle. She said, “What’s in the shoe box, cowgirl?”
I would recommend this book to my friend’s mom because she is a nurse and everyday she has to make her own choices and she has to stand up for what is right.
If I could change anything about this book I would change the fact that Mullet Fingers doesn’t come back to see Roy at the end. He should have came back and Roy, Beatrice, and Mullet Fingers would all have been best frinds.
My favorite part of Hoot was at the end when everybody was holding hands and standing in a circle around Mullet Fingers. It really showed other people that the owls meant a lot to them, and that they should not be burried. Since they stood up for what they belived in, the owls were saved and their burrows were left unharmed.

I loved the book Hoot because at the end of every chapter I was left wanting to read more. For example, Roy dropped the broom handle and streaked for the nearest exit. He almost made it, too. It was cliff hangers like this that kept me wanting to read more.
Even though I loved the book Hoot by Carl Hiaasen, I would change a few things. I found the beginning of the book very bland and boring. I think that there was not enough action and I think it should have involved Roy and Mullet Fingers sooner. I also did not like the end because Mullet Fingers ends up stuck with a very evil woman, his mom. I think he should end up escaping from his mom and continue living in the woods.
If I were to recommend this book to anyone, it would be my mom. She likes mystery and adventure books. She reminds me of Mullet Fingers in a way because she would have stood up for the owls, too. If I were to change the title of the book I would change it to, Owls and the Pancake House. I gave the book this title because it is about a group of friends’ trying to save a bunch of owls from an evil pancake house. My favorite part of the book was when all the kids circled around Mullet Fingers and created a human barricade. This was my favorite part because this would be very cool if it happened in real life and if it did I would definitely join. I also liked it because I knew that they could never build the pancake house. One line that really caught my attention was, “Or an outlaw,” said Roy. Garrett looked skeptical. “An outlaw? You mean like Jessie James?”
This line caught my attention because in the end Mullet Fingers turned out to be an outlaw.

The book Hoot, by Carl Hiaasen, is an amazing story about three Jr. High School students named Roy, Beatrice, and Mullet Fingers. I personally could not stop reading Hoot because the story was so adventurous and exciting! Whenever I read the word “owls” in the book, I would wonder what was happening, where the owls were, and when Mullet Fingers was going to pull another trick on Mother Paula’s All-American Pancake House.
My favorite part of the book Hoot was when Beatrica tied Dana Matherson to the flagpole because he was picking on Roy. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to read what would happen next! I was happy to find that Dana Matherson, who was quite a bully to others, was being picked on instead of him bullying another person. Although I do not think it is funny to tie somebody to a flagpole, Dana Matherson needed to be put in his place.
I would recommend Hoot to my friend and neighbor named Lauren. I feel that Lauren would love Hoot because she is crazy about animals and cannot take her eyes off of books. I know that Lauren would enjoy the story just as much as I did!
Lastly, if I were to re-name Hoot, I would name the book “The Owls Who Cried Help”. I picked this name because the owls needed to cry for help so they did not lose their home. I was glad that throughout the story Mullet Fingers, Roy, and Beatrice all helped to save the owls home.

Hoot is amazingly written! It’s about how 3 kids try and save the owls before the construction workers destroy them. I loved Carl Hiaasen’s style of writing; it’s serious yet hilarious! Unlike most writers, he writes with little detail, which sometimes can be boring, but, in this case, really ties it up leaving the astonished reader at the edge of his/her seat. He knits the words into mysteries leaving you with questions like, what is Mullet Fingers’ real name? Will they ever save the owls? Will they be too late? He has a unique way of putting this book together, but makes it a fun loving read the whole family can enjoy. If I could change something in this book, I would like Mullet Fingers to actually experience a normal life, or finally being able to meet his long lost father. Though he seems happy where he is, I think if Mullet Fingers’ real father shared the same likes as him, he would be much happier.
I would have to say, my favorite part of the book was when Mother Paula’s All-American House of Pancakes was discovered and destroyed for the real fraud it was. I could not believe they would try to bury such innocent creatures like the burrowing owl. I love the message, go for your dreams and don’t let anyone stop you.All in all, Carl Hiaasen brings this small town story to life, and creates such characters I’m sure anyone can relate to.

I loved this book; it was extremely difficult to put down. Quotes and cliffhangers at the end of each chapter such as “There’s only one way to find out”, and “We have to go to the emergency room, Roy’s been hurt!”, made me want to keep reading. There were also funny parts of the book (like when Dana stepped on the mousetraps and got taken to jail) that made the book more enjoyable. Because I loved this book so much, I’m sure I’ll read it again in the future.

I would recommend this book to anyone my age, although somebody older might have a better understanding of it. The vocabulary was very advanced, as I needed a dictionary for words such as skeptical and chortled. Although some challenges were presented, I have enjoyed reading this book and feel my friends would as well.

If I could change anything about this book, I would add more adjectives about the characters. It’s extremely difficult to paint a picture in your mind when you don’t even know what color the main character’s hair is. If I literally had to paint a picture of Roy Eberhardt, I don’t think I could draw more than a stick figure because I barely know what he looks like. Even though I wish the author would have used more descriptive words, I still found this novel very interesting.

Overall, I very much enjoyed reading Hoot. It was entertaining and silly, and I will definitely read it again. I can’t wait to see the movie based on this phenomenal book!

I loved the book Hoot by Carl Hiaasen because there were lots of cliffhangers. I love cliffhangers because they keep you waiting for the next chapter and I feel anxious to read more. One example of a cliffhanger, is when the hospital calls Roy’s mom and says that Roy is hurt but it really was Mullet Fingers who was hurt.

My favorite part was in Chapter 4 when Officer Delinko’s windows get spray painted black while he is asleep on the job. I like that part because Officer Dalinko doesn’t know who did it. Also, I think it is funny that someone could paint the windows and he did not wake up. Officers should not be sleeping on the job.

Hoot is an awesome book! I thought it was very exciting and enjoyed reading it. If you are looking for a new book to read, I would recommend Hoot!

:I thought Hoot was an extremely good book. At the end of every chapter I found something that almost forced me to read on, like at the end of chapter eleven, you think that Roy was sent to the hospital.
:I would recommend this book to my friend Teddy because he likes protecting the environment and all the animals in it.
:Another title for this book could of been Roy Saves the Owls because without Roy the whole story would of fallen apart at the hospital.
:My favorite lines were the argument between Napoleon and Officer Delinko “You’re the one that painted my patrol car last week” “No comment” “And ran away from the hospital” “Double no comment” “And hung your green shirt on my antenna” “Man, you don’t understand. The owls got no chance against those machines”
    :I wouldn’t change any thing.
:My favorite part of the book was that Napoleon fit in the owl den.

The book Hoot,by Carl Hiaasen was one of the best books I have ever read because it left me wondering what was going to happen next. I was so anxious I couldn’t stop reading it because what person would not go to school, not live in a house with his parents, and still survive? Well in this book a boy named Mullet Fingers(Napoleon Bridger) did all that stuff, now that’s a wacky person. Also three friends named Roy, Beatrice, and Mullet Fingers succeed in trying to save some defenseless owls from being bulldozed, that’s just awsome! Even more amazing was that all those kids from Trace Middle School came to Mother Paula’s opening event to try and stop the contruction of the restaurant to save the owls.
I would recommend this book to my brother, Devin, because he reads any of the books I read, he loves adventure books, and he is willing to read any Newberry book. Also he wants to start reading it now.
If I could change anything in the book, I would change how Lonna hated her son, Mullet Fingers, because that’s really mean kicking your own son out of your house and not look for him.
My favorite part of the book was when all those people like Roy, Beatrice, Mother Paula, Garret and his friends etc., linked hands to stop Chuck Muckle from building Mother Paula’s Pancake House, that’s pretty cool.
If I could change the title of the book, it would be Saving The Owls because when you read the book it is based on saving owls.
I think that saving the owls was a good thing and that it made people come together.

I loved the book Hoot by Carl Hiaasen. I couldn’t stop reading when Roy broke Dana Matherson’s nose. Roy was trying to tell them he was just trying to get free. His parents were very disappointed in him. A couple days later Roy wrote Dana an apology letter. He knocked on Dana’s door, Dana opened it and had a face like a bull ready to charge at Roy. Roy stuttered and said, “I wrote you an apology letter.” Then Dana’s mother peeked over Dana’s shoulder and said, “that little kid messed you up.” Dana and his mother started fighting over the letter and Roy crept back to his car and they drove away. The day Dana came back to school Roy kept his guard up full time. There was a rumor that Dana was going to get him good. At 3:00 Roy asked Mr. Ryan if he could walk him to the bus so Dana wouldn’t get him but Mr. Ryan had work to do. So Roy sprinted to the bus through the hall then a closet door opened and Dana pulled him in. Roy was getting beat up! Then the door flew open and all Roy saw was a light and Dana got pulled out. Roy thought it was Mr. Ryan but it was Beatrice Leep!
I would recommend this book to my friend Brian because he should know what friendship is. I would name this book Saving the Owls because that’s what the point of the book is. There were not really any quotes in the book that caught my attention. If there was something I would change about the book it would be that Mullet Finger’s mother would love him no matter what he did. My favorite part was when Mullet Fingers had to go to the hospital and mixed up everyone’s names and addresses.

My favorite part of the book Hoot was the ending. I liked it when Roy, Beatrice, and Mullet Fingers all worked together to save the owls at the Mother Paula’s construction site. It was amazing how these kids stood up for what they believed in. I also liked the part when Roy’s dad stepped in at the end, and gave Roy a copy of the Mother Paula’s file from City Hall, which didn’t have the Environmental Impact Statement in it. When Roy gave this to Kelly Colfax from the newspaper, he knew she would write an article that would help save the owls too. I would recommend this book for kids and their parents because it has a good moral to the story.

There were several lines in the book Hoot that caught my eye, and I will be more than happy to share some of them with you. For instants: “Peering through the fuzzy early–morning gray”. That line got my attention by all of the adjectives in one line. It really helped me get a picture in my head of the scene. One of the many quotes that got me thinking was: “I ain’t scared”. That particular quote got me thinking because where I live and go to school you don’t really here that kind of phrase. My last quote that I would like to share with you is: “Sorry, cowgirl”. I thought this phrase was kind of funny because that nickname was made for the main character Roy. Cowgirl is usually a girl’s nickname not a boy’s that is why I thought it was funny. Those are not the only lines that caught my attention, but those lines were my favorite out of the bunch.

I loved the book Hoot. Many parts of this outstanding book stood out to me but I would have to say that my favorite part of this book was when Dana was framed. I liked how cleverly Roy planned it. I couldn’t stop reading Hoot, but this section literally glued my eyes to the book.
If I could rename this book, I would name it, “What Owls?” because this phrase was repeated in the book and was basically the main problem that Roy had to face. It also describes what will happen to the owls if Roy doesn’t save them so it gives the book Hoot a little bit of dramatic effect.
I would recommend this book to my good friend Brendan because he is a huge bird lover so he could probably relate to this book well.
If I could change anything in this book, I wouldn’t bring up Mrs. Hennepin’s single upper lip hair as often. I would also change the way the adults such as Officer Delinko, Lonna and Mrs. Hennepin act out to try to make themselves look better by asking for personal letters on their permanent record or saying that their “Champion” did it and saved the day.
I loved Hoot through and through, but I liked some quotes more than others. One of the quotes I liked was “A kid would have to be tough as nails to make routine of that”. I liked this quote because it did a great job of summing up Mullet Fingers in one sentence. Another one is “Okay, I know we’re just talking about a few puny little owls , and I know everyone is crazy about Mother Paula’s pancakes, but what’s happening out their is just plain wrong.”. I loved this quote because it is when Roy makes his final stand for the owls and gets all his friends to help him save the owls! I truly loved the book Hoot, or, if you will, “What Owls”.

I loved this book. It is exciting and interesting. I could not set it down. I finished the entire book in about 4 days. It was hilarious. It had great pranks, though if I tried any of them, my parents would be very mad. I think that the funniest prank in the book (even if it was cruel) was when Mullet Fingers spray painted officer Deliko’s car windows. The most suspenseful part was at the opening ceremony for Mother Paula’s pancakes. It was suspenseful because you didn’t know if the Mother Paula’s company was going to bury the owls or not. In addition, it was odd that Mullet Fingers squeezed himself into an owl burrow. I thought the cleverest part was when Mullet Fingers escaped from juvenile hall. My all around favorite part was when Beatrice beat up Dana Matherson. Hoot was a great book, and I’m glad I decided to read it.

I loved the book “Hoot” by Carl Hiaasen because the whole story line was about saving burrowing owls. I love animals, seeing them, or reading about them. The main story was about how people were trying to build a building on the owls homes. Then 3 courages young kids did everything in their power to stop them. They did succeed, which meant saving the owls, and not letting the Mother Paula Pancake House be built.

I would recommend this book to a reader that loves animals. The reader would learn alot about how burrowing owls live. The books talks alot about their size and habitat.

My favorite part of the book was when Mullet Fingers did all he could do to save the owls by slowing down the construction. Some of the stuff he did was dangerous, and funny. Like, when he put alligators in the porty potties. Then Officer Delinko went to use one, and almost got his rear end bitten off. Then there was a time when he spray painted the windows black of Officer Delinko’s policer car while he was sleeping in it!

This book was a pleasure reading, and it really made me laugh. I liked the book mostly because it was easy to read, and kept me interested. I hope that next year’s reading assignment will be well written as this book.

I chose Hoot by Carl Hiaasen for my summer reading assignment. Hoot was a moving heartwarming story about a kid named Roy who, at first didn’t fit in to his new school. Like in everyone’s life, we make friends and sometimes enemies or bullies as in this story. Roy meets a bully named Dana Matherson who whales on him relentlessly, like the time Dana locked Roy in the janitor’s closet and choked him! Roy makes good friends as well like Beatrice, Garret, and Mullet Fingers.

I would highly recommend this book for people who love wildlife and care about the environment. This book has a great message also; that message is you should care about anything or anyone no matter how small. Sometimes we struggle with making the right decisions in life in order to benefit someone other than ourselves. Roy was faced with many challenges like when he protected Mullet Fingers in the hospital by giving the staff his name rather than the boy’s name.

If I could change the name of this book I would change it to Hoot For Joy. I would change the title because of all the heroic things that Roy, Beatrice, and Mullet Fingers did for the owls. Roy figured out ways to protect the owls legally by searching the Mother Paula’s building permit at City Hall which was missing. I really enjoyed this book and to tell you the truth it was the best book I have read this summer!

I couldn’t stop reading this book because of the unique way Carl Hiaasen wrote. He had many cliffhangers which forced me to read on. One I really liked was when Roy let his friend Mullet Fingers use his name and address at the hospital while Mrs. Eberhardt, his mother, thought that the real Roy was hurt. It was an excellent cliffhanger to end the chapter. If I could change something about this book it would be that Lonna would take Mullet Fingers back home instead of being sent to juvenile hall. If I could change the title I would definitely change it to “Think about the Owls” because most of the people at Coconut Cove got distracted by the deliciousness of a flapjack instead of thinking about the wildlife that the pancake house is destroying. I do enjoy flapjacks but not enough to cover up three families of owls like Chuck Muckle, the developer, intended to do. My favorite part of the book was when Mullet Fingers dumped alligators into the toilets; I was cracking up when I read that part. I would without a doubt recommend this book to my brother because he knows when to take action like Roy. He will also be studying environmental sciences in college, so he would enjoy this book.

I loved reading Hoot. It was so good I couldn’t put it down. The book’s funny word chioces and clever kept me iching to read more.

Hoot is about Roy a kid who just moved to Coconut Cove, Flordia. Very soon after moving, Roy finds out about little burrowing owls about to be pumbled by bulldozers. He also figued out that Mother Paul’s Pancake House is behind it all.

One quote that really stuck out to me was on one of the protest signs,” Save the owls, bury the buttermilks!” I loved Carl Hiaasen’s word chioce. It was also extremly funny. If I could make up the title it would be called Give a Hoot for Owls because the people in the pancake company didn’t care that they were killing innocent owls. My favorite part was when one of the owls lands on top of Mullet Fingers, Roy’s friend. At that point you knew that the owls where safe and that the pancake people would back off. Hoot was an awesome book. I can tell farly easily why it won the Newberry Honor.

    Dear Mrs. Farnum,
I hope you had a great summer. I loved the book Hoot because in my mind I could visualize the characters and their actions. Books like this are more easy to read then others. Also, I liked the way the author made the book so interesting to follow. If I would recommend this book to someone it would be my brother. I would recommend it to my brother because he loves to read and he loves funny books with lots of characters because theres more to read then one character. If I could change the name of this book id change it to Owls in Holes at Sunlight. This title could be used because there owls whom stay in their holes at sunligt and come out at night. lastly I wanted to read this book beacuse I have seen the movie so many times.

Hoot was an exciting book about friendship. I loved Hoot and I couldn’t stop reading it from the day I opened the book. I loved the weird and funny parts when Roy mooned Dana, and told him there were cigarettes in the trailer on the property of Mother Paula’s. I would recommend this wonderful book to preteens. I chose preteens because they would like the adventure in this book. I also think the preteens would see the love of Roy and his friends tiring to save the baby owls. If I could give Hoot a new name it would be “Roy vs. The Pancake House” I chose this title because Roy and his friends were tiring to save the baby owls from the bulldozers burying the owl’s holes. Preteens would also like the pranks against the Mother Paula’s like, painting the windows of Officer Delinko’s police car and the alligators in the portor potty.
Some of quotes and lines I liked in the book were “Every time you try to hurt me something bad happens to you.” I like this line because when Roy was telling Dana the truth about what happens when he tries to hurt him. The line was really weird and funny to picture Dana’s face at that time. Another one is “You Got a Pet Monkey the gas station” the mechanic guy asked, because “I swear I saw teeth marks on the sidewall.” I liked this because Beatrice bit the tire to give an excuse why Roy was late for dinner. It must be really unusual for the mechanic to see bite marks on the wheel you were fixing. I wouldn’t change a thing about the book because the book was awesome. My favorite part of the book was when Roy mooned Dana and told him there were cigarettes in the trailer. It was funny when Curly put down rattraps and saw Dana fall and get snapped by the traps. I liked this part because Curly finds Dana and thinks he was the person that was doing all the damage to the construction site. I would also like to be there to see Dana’s face when he falls and gets snapped be dozens of rattraps.

Hoot by Carl Hiaasen is an upbeat and thrilling story that is hilarious! This book is about a kid named Roy who moved from Montana to a small town in Florida named Coconut Grove. Roy attends Trace Middle School where he encounters a bully named Dana Matherson and becomes friends with Beatrice and Garret and a boy with a nickname of Mullet Fingers.

The story gets really good when Roy helps the boy named Mullet Fingers save the little owls that are about to be killed because a big company, Mother Paul’s Pancake House, is going to build over the borrow’s where the owls live. One of the funniest parts of the book is when Dana Matherson sneaks up to the construction trailer and both his feet get caught in the rat traps.

I would recommend this book to my Mom because she loves animals and tries to help them because they can’t help themselves.

Hoot was an educational and exciting book for me to read.I learned new and old lessons from this book like that sometimes the person you least expect can pull through for you in the end,and that even if nobody is watching you should always do the right thing everyday.

Hoot is a book about a boy named Roy Eberhardt who moved from Montana to a city in florida called Coconut Cove were he quickly makes enemies an friends such as Beatrice,Garret, and a strange ally called Mullet Fingers. He attend Trace Middle School while over half the book he searches for the truth about Mullet Fingers and the owls on the Mother Paula’s Pancake House lot.

First of all I would recomend this book to my Mom because she is an avid reader. I think she would like this book because it is a story that could really happen. Also my Mom cares about animals and that is why my familie’s pets like her the best.

My favorite part of the book had to be when Dana Matherson was caught and interrogated by Officer Delinko and throughout the proccess Dana was given a fake alligator and got very scared and seemed like he was going to squeal! Hoot was the longest book I have ever read and will will definetly be a memorable book whenever I read or hear about owls again.
